I'm thinking of having a garage sale,
does anybody have any tips in making it a success?
Do you think its best to individuially price everything?
Or put things in boxes with the prices labled on them?

My neigborhood is sponsoring a neighborhood wide garage sale in the Dallas, tx area. Will I have better luck doing it a different weekend due to competition…or is the extra publicity a good thing?

I am moving overseas and selling almost all my stuff. I don't expect to get a lt o money for small items, but I was wondering how I can price electronics and small appliances such as:
19" TV (retail $98)
Sanio DVD player (retail $50)
Sony boombox (retail $60)
Microwave (retail $60)
Recliner chair (retail $300)
Panasonic bread maker (retail $120)
Cuisinart immersion blender (retail $30)
All stuff is relatively new, well-functioning and very clean. And how do I price appliances which retail under $20 (such as waffle iron, minichoper, hand mixer, blender)?
I have never been to a garage sale and have no idea what people pay for what.

I have created a site that allows people with garage sales to list their sale along with pictures of items on a map for free. It also allows garage sale goers to browse garage sales by certain days…users can even link their user page on other listings like craigslist…my question is what would be the best way to advertise to people who would find this useful before they have their garage sale?
